Melissa Fielding is a talented new artist in the New York City area. From her beautiful melodies to her meaningful lyrics, Melissa's songwriting is only matched by her incredibly powerful voice. An alumni of Berklee College of Music,  Melissa captivates her audience with her intoxicating vocals and genuine emotions poured into each and every word.

 

Melissa knew she wanted to be a musician since a very early age. By the age of five, she knew that music was the most important thing in the world - something she had to be a part of and create. Melissa competed in many classical competitions growing up and performed in various venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Eastman School of Music. After participating in the New York All-State Choir two years in a row, Melissa discovered her passion for songwriting. Her love for creating music began when she wrote her first song at the age of sixteen. As her musical tastes grew, Melissa's classically trained voice complimented her new-found interest in indie-pop, folk, and alternative genres.

 

Melissa has been compared to incredible musicians like Adele, Kate Nash, Fiona Apple, and Regina Spektor, all of whom are great influences to her own music and writing style. In February 2014, Melissa released her debut album “Hide & Seek Me” through Interrobang Records. The album features the talents of nearly 30 incredible performers in support of Melissa’s artistry, with a special focus on some seriously talented female musicians. Melissa continues to write and perform in New York City to support “Hide & Seek Me”, and aims to release more great music in the near future.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
